These installation guidelines describe how dimensional lumber works with 2xEDGE Staples so your edging stays aligned and easy to adjust through seasonal movement.
Note: In conditions like rocky soil or competing tree roots, it’s normal to adjust staple placement as you go. Uneven spacing in these spots still secures the lumber effectively and won’t compromise performance.

HOW TO INSTALL A SINGLE PIECE OF LUMBER
Place lumber on the ground where you want to install it.
Install staples 6”-12” from each end of the lumber.
HOW TO INSTALL MULTIPLE PIECES OF LUMBER CONSECUTIVELY
Butt lumber together. Install staples 6”-12” from ends of outer pieces of lumber.
Install a staple over each seam.
Add one staple for each additional piece of lumber you want to install.
